The Himachal Pradesh cabinet on Saturday approved creation of a separate revenue district in Baddi, fulfilling a long-pending demand of the industry. As many as 13 posts of various categories were also sanctioned on Sunday for Baddi. The move will provide all facilities to industrialists in Baddi-Barotiwala-Nalagarh industrial area at their doorstep.
The cabinet also approved the Kasauli area development scheme for planned and systematic development of the area for future implementation. The new plan shall maintain the premier character of Kasauli as a major tourist destination and sustainable habitat of the local population. The development plan has been prepared for the revised planning area, Greater Kasauli planning area. It envisages upgrading the Parwanoo-Kasauli-Garkhal-Dharampur road to act as a circular road, besides construction of a Garkhal bypass.
