Public sector power equipment major Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (Bhel) is expected to finalise its joint venture with Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB) for setting up 2 X 800 mw project at Udangulam in Tirunelveli district in the next one month, said RN Misra, executive director, Bhel (Trichy) complex.

?We have entered into an MoU with TNEB for the above power project in January and we will be finalising the joint venture agreement in the next one month or so to arrive at the cost of the project, bidding process, etc,? he said.

The proposed JV will start placing orders for higher super critical boiler size of 800 mw in the next five to six months, he added. ?By entering into agreement with TNEB, Bhel will start manufacturing higher version of super critical boilders.
