LIVE IPL auction 2018 update: Catch all the updates from Indian Premier League Season 11 player auction as a total of 578 players go under the hammer in Bengaluru over the next two days.

IPL auction 2018 IPL Auction 2018 LIVE Updates: Many top Indian names including Yuvraj Singh, Gautam Gambhir, Dinesh Karthik, Manish Pandey, Ravichandran Ashwin and Shikhar Dhawan are up for the grabs for the franchises at the league.

LIVE IPL auction 2018 update: What a day it turned out to be at the IPL auction 2018 on Saturday. Ben Stokes once again emerged as the most expensive player while Manish Pandey and KL Rahul earned big bucks among the Indian players. There were a few surprises too in what is probably the biggest IPL auction so far. Many top Indian names including Yuvraj Singh, Gautam Gambhir, Dinesh Karthik, Manish Pandey, Ravichandran Ashwin and Shikhar Dhawan were up for the grabs for the franchises at the IPL auction 2018 along with the international names like Ben Stokes, Chris Gayle, Colin Munro, Faf du Plessis and Brendon McCullum. Among the uncapped Indian players, there was a major bidding war for Krunal Pandya and Deepak Hooda as well as for India Under 19 captain Prithvi Shaw. Since the wallet amount for the teams has been increased from Rs 66 crore to Rs 80 crore, this could be the most interesting IPL player auction so far. On day 2, Jaydev Unadkat was the hottest property along with Mohammad Siraj and Andrew Tye.

4:05 PM: Dushmanta Chameera is sold to Rajasthan Royals for Rs 50 lakh, Nidheesh MD Dinesan is sold to Mumbai Indians for Rs 20 lakh but the Baba twins – Aparajith and Indrajith, both remain unsold.

3:55 PM: We are back live for the final set. 15 players come back to the auction. Chris Gayle is finally sold to Kings XI Punjab for Rs 2 crore. Varun Aaron and Martin Guptill remain unsold.

3:30 PM: Jatin Saxena sold to Rajasthan Royals for Rs 20 lakh and Chennai Super Kings buy Chaitanya Bishnoi for the same amount.

3:23 PM: Chennai Super Kings have bought spinner Mark Wood for Rs 1.5 crore. Rajasthan Royals have bought local boy Mahipal Lomror for Rs 20 lakh who led the domestic side in Aniket Chaudhary’s absence.

3:15 PM: Sri Lankan all-rounder Akila Dhananjaya has been bought by Mumbai Indians for Rs 50 lakh. Australian fast-bowler goes to Rajasthan Royals for the same amount. Mayank Dagar bought by Kings XI Punjab for Rs 20 lakh.

3:08 PM: Even at this stage, IPL auction 2018 is full of surprise. Varun Aaron has gone unsold.

3:04 PM: Bipul Sharma bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs 20 lakh, Sayan goes to Delhi Daredevils for the same amount but CM Gautam goes unsold.

3:00 PM: Shaun Marsh remains unsold at IPL auction 2018. Aditya Tare has been picked by Mumbai Indians for Rs 20 lakh.

2:55 PM: The next player is an uncapped wicketkeeper, Prashant Chopra. He has been purchased by Rajasthan Royals for Rs 20 lakh. Nikhil Naik goes unsold. New Zealand spinner Ish Sodhi remains unsold.

2:53 PM: Parthiv Patel has been bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore for Rs 1.7 crore while Mitchell Johnson joins KKR for Rs 2 crore. Tim Southee joins RCB for Rs 1 cr.

2:50 PM: Chennai Super Kings have bought Murali Vijay for Rs 2 cr while Sam Billings bought by Rajasthan Royals for Rs 1 cr. Naman Ojha bought by Delhi Daredevils for Rs 1.4 cr.

2:45 PM: We are back after the lunch break and now, the players who went unsold will come back to the auction. The first player is Chris Gayle. And, he goes unsold again. The next player is Martin Guptill and no takers for him as well.

2:40 PM: Here is the amount of money left for the players at lunch on day 2:

1:31 PM: We are going through a dull phase as most of the big names have already been sold. Veteran Rajat Bhatia goes unsold too. Anirudha Joshi has been bought by RCB for Rs 20 lakh. That’s it! It’s lunchtime!

1:22 PM: Sharad Lumba is sold to Mumbai Indians at his base price of Rs 20 lakh and Kanish Seth is sold to Chennai Super Kings for Rs 20 lakh.

1:20 PM: Lungisani Ngidi who made is debut against India this month is sold to Chennai Super Kings for Rs 50 lakh. They have also signed Delhi batsman Dhruv Shorey for Rs 20 lakh.

1:15 PM: Asif KM is sold to Chennai Super Kings for Rs 40 lakh, Ben Dwarshuis is sold to Kings XI Punjab for Rs 1.4 crore and Sandeep Lamichhane becomes first Nepal player to be sold at IPL auction. He was picked by Delhi Daredevils for Rs 20 lakh.

12:57 PM: Tajinder Dhillon is sold to Mumbai Indians for Rs 55 lakh, Shreyas Gopal is sold to Rajasthan Royals for Rs 20 lakh. Currently, the bidding is on for Akshdeep Nath. He was bought by KXIP for Rs 1 crore.

12:52 PM: The Rajasthan fast bowler Deepak Chahar who had an outstanding domestic season sold to Chennai Super Kings for Rs 80 lakh. Cameron Delport bought by KKR for Rs 30 lakh.

12:43 PM: The next player is Andrew Tye. The Australian fast bowler has been in superb form over the last 12 months in the T20 format. He goes to Kings XI Punjab for Rs 7.2 crore. Harpreet Singh unsold.

12:40 PM: The next player is Barinder Sran. There is a high demand for the left-arm fast-bowler. He has been sold to Kings XI Punjab for Rs 2.2 crore. Meanwhile, Tymal Mills who was sold for Rs 12 crore last year, goes unsold.

12:35 PM: Jason Behrendorff sold to Mumbai Indians for Rs 1.5 crore. The Australian fast bowler made his T20 debut in India last year and rattled the Indian batting order. Lockie Ferguson unsold.

12:26 PM: The Australian all-rounder John Hastings go unsold. Chris Jordan bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs 1 crore. Rovman Powell goes unsold. Mitchell Santner goes to CSK for Rs 50 lakh.

12:22 PM: The South African all-rounder JP Duminy who also led Delhi Daredevils in one season sold to Mumbai Indians for Rs 1 crore.

12:17 PM: CM Gautam goes unsold, Jagdeesan goes to Chennai Super Kings for Rs 20 lakh. Mihir Hirwani goes unsold. Zahir Khan Pakteen, a relatively unknown player has been bought by Rajasthan Royals for Rs 60 lakh.

12:15 PM: We are back with the next set of players. The first player is Johson Charles from West Indies. His base price is Rs 75 lakh and he goes unsold. Sri Lankan Niroshan Dickwella and Kedar Devdhar from India go unsold.

11:56 AM: Former Gujarat Lions fast bowler Pradeep Sangwan who recently led Delhi to the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy has been bought by the Mumbai Indians for Rs 1.5 crore. Meanwhile, Nehraji is discussing a few plans with the very very special Laxman:

11:50 AM: Swapnil Singh, Bipul Sharma and Pravin Dubey all go unsold. Abhishek Sharma is bought by Delhi Daredevils for Rs 5 lakh.

11:46 AM: Manjot Kalra is sold to DelhiDaredevils for Rs 20, Shivam Mavi goes to Mumbai Indians for Rs 3 crore. Both these players are a part of the Indian Under 19 team for the ICC Under 19 World Cup in New Zealand.

11:32 AM: The left-arm Indian spinner Pragyan Ojha goes unsold. The next player is South Africa’s Tabraiz Shamsi. He goes unsold too and so does Anureet Singh.

11:23 AM: The next player is Mujeeb Zadran from Afghanistan and the teams are bidding for him. He is sold to Kings XI Punjab for Rs 4 crore. Australian spinner Nathan Lyon goes unsold.

11:07 AM: New Zealand fast bowler Trent Boult has been bought by Delhi Daredevils for Rs 2.2 crore and Shardul Thakur goes to Chennai Super Kings for Rs 2.6 crore. The last bowler in this set, Dale Steyn goes unsold.

10:57 AM: Australian fast bowler Nathan Coulter Nile has been bought by RCB for Rs 2.2 crore. The next player is Jaydev Unadkat. He has been bought by Rajasthan Royals for Rs 11.5 crore. He becomes the most expensive Indian fast bowler in the history of IPL.

10:52 AM: The next player is Mohammad Siraj, another player who is in high demand. He has been bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore for Rs 2.6 crore. The next player is Nathan Coulter-Nile.

10:47 AM: There is a strong bidding war going on for Sandeep Sharma. He has been bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs 3 crore and they suddenly have a very strong bowling attack. Vinay Kumar has been bought by KKR for Rs 1 cr.

10:43 AM: The next player was Mohit Sharma who was bought by Chennai Super Kings for Rs 2.4 crore. But, the Kings XI Punjab used their RTM and bought him. The next player is Sandeep Sharma.

10:41 AM: The first name out was of Dhawal Kulkarni. He was sold for Rs 75 lakh but Rajasthan Royals used their RTM and got the fast-bowler back. The next player is Mohit Sharma.

10:38 AM: Afghanistan all-rounder Mohammad Nabi has been bought by the Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs 1 cr. Rishi Dhawan goes unsold. We move to the fast-bowlers now.

10:32 AM: Corey Anderson and Moises Henriques who have good IPL record go unsold. The next player is Ben Cutting. He has been a good performer for SRH in last couple of years. He goes to Mumbai Indians for Rs 2.2 cr.

10:29 AM: Former Kings XI Punjab batsman Gurkeerat Singh Mann has been bought by Delhi Daredevils for Rs 75 lakh. The next player is New Zealand’s Corey Anderson.

10:25 AM: Australian all-rounder Daniel Christian who played for Pune last year has been bought by Delhi Daredevils for Rs 1 crore. The next player is Jayant Yadav. He goes to Delhi Daredevils for Rs 50 lakh.

10:20 AM: Pawan Negi who was once one of the most expensive players in IPL was sold to Mumbai Indians for Rs 1 cr but, RCB used their RTM to get hold of Indian all-rounder.

10:16 AM: The next player is Washington Sundar. He was one of the emerging players of last year. He has been bought by Bangalore for Rs 3.2 crore. The next player is Pawan Negi.

10:12 AM: Australian player Travis Head and South Africa’s Colin Ingram went unsold. Meanwhile, Manoj Tiwary has been bought by Kings XI Punjab for Rs 1 cr.

10:10 AM: Shaun Marsh who was the orange cap winner in the inaugural season of IPL goes unsold. No takers for Lendl Simmons too. The next player is Mandeep Singh. he has been bought by RCB for Rs 1.4 crore.

10:05 AM: Mumbai Indians have also bought Saurabh Tiwary for Rs 80 lakh. Meanwhile, Alex Hales goes unsold. The next player is England captain is Eoin Morgan. He too goes unsold and so does Shaun Marsh.

9:58 AM: The next player is Evin Lewis from West Indies. He is believed to be the replacement of Chris Gayle. He has been bought by Mumbai Indians for Rs 3.8 crore. Lewis can prove to be very destructive in the top-order.

9:55 AM: Shivil Kaushik, the unorthodox spinner from Gujarat Lions went unsold. Murugan Ashwin has been bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore for Rs 2.2 crore.

9:48 AM: The next player is Karnataka’s Krishanppa Gowtham. He was one of the most expensive uncapped players last year but didn’t get a single game. He has been bought for whopping Rs 6.2 cr by Rajasthan Royals.

9:40 AM: The next player is Shahbaz Nadeem. There is a bidding war going on for him. He has been bought by Delhi Daredevils for Rs 3.2 crore. Meanwhile, KC Carriapa and Sai Kishore went unsold.

9:30 AM: Good morning folks! We are back live for the second of IPL auction 2018. The first player out is Rahul Chahar. He has been bought by Mumbai Indians for Rs 1.90 cr

5:43 PM: The next player is Siddharth Kaul. What a fantastic IPL he had last year for Sunrisers Hyderabad! And, the same team has bought him for Rs 3.8 crore. The next player is T Natarajan. He is bought by SRH at his base price of Rs 3.8 cr.

5:39 PM: The next set is of uncapped Indian fast bowlers. The first player is Kulwant Khejorliya. He was a part of Mumbai Indians last year. He has been bought by RCB for Rs 85 lakh.

5:36 PM: Another wicketkeeper Sheldon Jackson also went unsold. So, does Australian Ben Mcdermott. Prashant Chopra also goes unsold.

5:30 PM: The next player is former Indian Under 19 captain Ishan Kishan. He seems to be in good demand as well. He has been bought by the Mumbai Indians for Rs 6.2 crore. Two years ago, Ishan Kishan was bought for Rs 35 lakh. Meanwhile, Aditya Tare went unsold.

5:05 PM: The next player is Krunal Pandya, probably the biggest name in IPL auction 2018. There is a massive bidding war going on for him. He has been retained by the Mumbai Indians for a whopping amount of Rs 8.8 crore.

4:58 PM: The next player is Kamlesh Nagarkoti. The Under 19 fast bowler has been in brilliant form in Under 19 World Cup and can hit some really amazing speed. He has been bought by KKR for Rs 3.2 crore.

4:57 PM: Another good Indian fast bowling all-rounder Vijay Shankar has been bought by Delhi Daredevils for Rs 3.2 crore at IPL auction 2018. The next player is Harshal Patel. He was bought by DD for Rs 20 lakh.

4:50 PM: The next batsman is Deepak Hooda. The young Baroda player is a big-hitter and might cost a lot of money. He was bought by Delhi Daredevils for Rs 3.6 cr but SRH used the RTM just at the right time.

4:40 PM: The next set of players is of uncapped Indian all-rounders. The first name is of Rahul Tewatia. In a surprise move, he has been bought by the Delhi Daredevils for Rs 3 crore.

4:20 PM: The next player is current India Under 19 captain Prithvi Shaw. There is a bidding war going on for him. And, Delhi Daredevils have bought him for whopping Rs 1. crore.

4:16 PM: The next player is Manan Vohra. He has been bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore for Rs 1.1 crore. Punjab could have used their RTM but they decided against it.

4:08 PM: Himanshu Rana who is a part of Indian Under 19 team goes unsold. Meanwhile, a bidding war is going on for Rahul Tripathi. He has been bought by Rajasthan Royals for Rs 3.4 crore.

4:05 PM: The next player is Mayank Agarwal. The Karnataka batsman has been in scintillating form in the domestic season. He has been bought by Kings XI Punjab for Rs 1 crore.

4:02 PM: Mumbai Indians have also bought India Under 19 vice captain Shubham Gill for rs 1.8 crore. Ricky Bhu bought by SRH for Rs 20 lakh.

3:52 PM: The next of players is of the uncapped batsmen and the first batsman out is Surya Kumar Yadav. He goes at 11 times more than his base price at Rs 3.2 crore to the Mumbai Indians.

3:46 PM: The next player is Kuldeep Yadav. The Chinaman has been in great form in last 18 months. He was bought by RCB for Rs 5.8 crore but KKR used their RTM to get hold of the UP boy.

3:42 PM: The next player was Yuzvendra Chahal. The Indian leg-spinner was bought for Rs 6 cr by Delhi Daredevils but RCB used their RTM just at the right time. Meanwhile, Adama Zampa goes unsold.

3:36 PM: The next player is Amit Mishra. He is one of the IPL stars who has been very consistent over the years. He has been bought by Delhi Daredevils for Rs 4 crore. West Indies spinner Samuel Badree goes unsold.

3:31 PM: The next player is Rashid Khan for whom a massive bidding war is on. Almost all the teams have bid for him so far. He was bought by Kings XI Punjab for Rs 9 crore but SRH pulled out their RTM card and got their star back.

3:25 PM: The former Mumbai Indians player Karn Sharma bought by Chennai Super Kings for Rs 5 crore. So, they have already bought three spinners today. The next player is Rashid Khan.

3:17 PM: South African spinner Imran Tahir is bought by Chennai Super Kings. Given his IPL record and performance last year, this could be the bargain of IPL auction 2018.

3:11 PM: The next category is of the spinners and the first name is Piyush Chawla. There was a good bidding war for the former KKR player. He was bought by Chennai Super Kings for Rs 4.2 crore and KKR used their RTM card.

3:00 PM: The next player is Kagiso Rabada. The South African fast-bowler was bought by Chennai Super Kings but Delhi Daredevils used their RTM to get him. The next player is Lasith Malinga.
