Narendra Modi Cabinet reshuffle, expansion: With eyes on 2019 General Elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to induct new members in his Cabinet today to deliver the promises BJP had made to people of India in 2014. Reports on Saturday said the new Cabinet ministers will be sworn in by President Ram Nath Kovind at around 10 am today. PTI reported PM Modi will induct nine new faces in the Union Cabinet. These include Ashwini Kumar Choubey, Shiv Paratap Shukla, Virendra Kumar, Anantkumar Hegde, Raj Kumar Singh, Hardeep Singh Puri, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Satya Pal Singh, and Alphons Kannanthanam. It may be possible that these nine names will be inducted in the new-look Union Cabinet today. However, until the final names are officially announced, we can’t be sure if PTI reported it right, for PM Modi and BJP president Amit Shah are fond of surprising everyone.

8:34 am: Another name which surfaced ahead of the cabinet reshuffle is Satya Pal Singh who is a Lok Sabha MP from Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh. The 1980 batch, Maharashtra cadre, retired IAS officer is a former Mumbai police chief. He is one of the nine new faces inducted by Narendra Modi government.

7:54 am: 65-year-old Shiv Pratap Shukla who has been inducted in the UNion Council is a Rajya Sabha MP from the country’s most populous and electorally crucial state of Uttar Pradesh. The lawyer-social worker has earlier been a minister in the government of Uttar Pradesh. He was appointed a vice president of Uttar Pradesh unit of the BJP in 2012.

7:48 am: PM Narendra Modi who is to leave for the BRICS Summit after the Cabinet reshuffle tweeted this on Saturday, ” India attaches high importance to BRICS, which has begun a 2nd decade of its partnership for progress and peace.”

7:46 am: Another leader who has been inducted is Virendra Kumar who is the Lok Sabha MP from Tikamgarh in Madhya Pradesh. From the convenor of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), District Sagar in 1977-79 to now being set to become a Union minister in the Modi government, it has been a long journey for Kumar, who was elected for a sixth Lok Sabha term in 2014.

7:42 am: 64-year-old Ashwini Kumar Choubey has been the health minister of Bihar. A BJP veteran he was born at Dariyapur in Bhagalpur and did BSc (Hons) in Zoology from the Science College, Patna University. Presently, he represents the Buxar Lok Sabha seat. Chaubey is credited with raising the slogan “Ghar-Ghar me ho Shouchalaya ka nirman, Tabhi hoga Ladli Bitiya ka Kanyadaan”, and has helped construct 11,000 toilets for Mahadalit families.

7:13 am: The Shiv Sena, with 18 Lok Sabha members against two from the JD(U), wanted its share of representation in line with that of the Nitish Kumar-led party, which would have meant several more berths for the Maharashtra party, a demand the BJP did not concede, the sources said.

7:12 am: Though top BJP leaders maintained silence on the development, sources in the party said the JD(U) and the Shiv Sena not figuring in the list was likely due to lack of a formula for representation which could satisfy all allies.

    Will PM Explain he said more than two kids if one has third will not get any benefits our concerns Why ministers r swearing in with today who are having more than two kids that too of BJP RSS , Does law is different for them ? This injustice will not be tolerated ,they should be punished for giving wrong Data at the time of Elections as well as while taking ministerial oaths , Today also in Modi,s team such MP's are Inducted , PM law minister to probe this and they should not be allowed for any ministry , This is totally against Ethics ,Against Indian Democracy ,Does laws are only for countrymen ? Shame on BJP RSS . We appeal Oppositions to raise this Issue in both the houses of Parliament ,for pulling down such ministers And seating MP's MLA's of all political party's needs to present correct Information of data ,such ministers,MLA,s MP's Cop orators needs to be denied tickets .
