Bhoomi box office collection prediction: Sanjay Dutt has a certain aura on screen and an admirable ability to seep into the skin of his characters. Bhoomi, will mark Sanjay’s much-awaited comeback after his absence from the silver screen for a span of almost 3 years. The film stars Aditi Rao Haydari, Sharad Kelkar and new comer Sidhant Gupta in pivotal role. Director Omung Kumar who has been associated with films like Mary Kom brings this tale of father-daughter bond which opens at the box office on September 22. Reportedly, the movie on its opening day can rake in Rs 4-5 crore given the fact that it is the comeback of the industry’s most loved ‘ khalnayak’.

The film showcases Sanjay Dutt in a titular role in the movie and despite being running on the conventional line of a father and daughter tale, there is nothing conventional about it. Bollywood has made a trail of movies which address the issue of violence against women. Where movies like ‘ Maatr’ starring Raveena Tandon and ‘ Mom’ starring Sridevi fight to avenge the wrongs done to their daughters, Bhoomi will unfold the story of father who goes to any extent fighting for his daughter.

Earlier while speaking about the revenge drama, Dutt told PTI that he decided to make a comeback with the movie because it had a great story, but did not agree that the film industry had become content driven now. “Things change over time. If everybody is saying that content is the main thing today, then it is great. But when I read scripts, I can’t see the change people are talking about. I still get stupid scripts,” he had said.

Dutt talking to Indian Express on making his comeback with Bhoomi says, ” I really like coming back in front of the camera, and the love I have received after the trailer released is great. It is like going back to what I knew best. I really appreciate all the love from my fans for the work I do. I am praying that they come down to watch my film, and it works.”
