It was nothing short of shocking and speaks volumes about nature of this man in New York. In a tragic incident, an Indian-origin woman was burned to death after a deadly crash on a US highway. But, what is even more shocking is that her driver left her to die after the horrific incident. 25-year-old Harleen Kaur Grewal was charred to death in a fiery crash on the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway. This happened after the driver, 23-year-old Saeed Ahmad, crashed his luxury Infiniti 35G into a concrete barrier on the highway, according to media reports.

But, the women passenger was left to die inside the vehicle, as the driver took himself to a hospital after hailing another cab. Harleen’s burnt body was found by firefighters and was declared dead at the scene. Ahmed, who took himself to Maimonides Medical Center, where he was treated for burns on his arms and legs, was charged with manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide, leaving the scene of an accident, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and speeding. He was speeding in and out of the traffic on the expressway during the incident and said that he had been drinking.

However, exactly what the truth is not clear as Ahmed’s brother Waheed said that his sibling had tried to rescue Harleen, but failed as she was stuck – as proof he said that Saeed’s hands were burned while he was trying to pull her out of the flaming car.
