Operation Sindoor: Amid India’s Operation Sindoor against Pakistan to avenge the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, a video from the Pakistani Parliament has gone viral on social media. In the video, an MP from Pakistan lashed out at PM Shehbaz Sharif and tagged him a “coward”. He also said that the Prime Minister of Pakistan is afraid of taking the Indian Prime Minister’s name.

“In an outburst, a Pakistani MP slammed Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif as ‘Buzdil’ (coward), accusing him of lacking the courage to even utter Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s name,” wrote DD News while sharing the video.

It added, “The MP laments that Pakistan’s army is demoralised and the nation stands helpless, unable or unwilling to support its own forces in this critical hour.”

What has Pakistan’s MP said in the viral video?

“I’m reminded of a quote by Tipu Sultan: If an army is led by a lion and consists of jackals, they will still fight like lions. But if an army of lions is led by a jackal, they can’t fight — they lose the war,” said MP Shahid Ahmad Khattak.

An emotional Khattak added, “Right now, soldiers standing at the border, who have placed their trust in us — our leader, the national leader or the Prime Minister, is like a mirror, the face of the nation. He expects our PM to respond to challenges with the same courage.”

“But when your Prime Minister, your leader, is a coward, when he cannot even take Modi’s name – what message are you sending to the soldiers at the border?” he said further.

On Thursday, Pakistan launched drones and missiles into parts of Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, and Rajasthan, which were successfully intercepted by India’s air defence systems – the S-400 and Akash. The Indian Army said that it gave a “befitting” reply to Pakistan.

“Pakistan Armed Forces launched multiple attacks using drones and other munitions along the entire Western Border on the intervening night of 08 and 09 May 2025. Pak troops also resorted to numerous ceasefire violations (CFVs) along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir. The drone attacks were effectively repulsed, and a befitting reply was given to the CFVs. Indian Army remains committed to safeguarding the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Nation. All nefarious designs will be responded to with force,” said the Indian Army in a statement.
