Teams behind the Summer 2025 Hollywood slate know better than to just to open the early booking windows for their blockbusters in-the-making. With cinephiles still not having enough of the genius Gen Z-esque marketing antics employed by the Superman team, The Fantastic Four: First Steps promotions have already imploded on the movie scene and hit a massive homerun with their fresh stunt.

In what is already being deemed a generational run for superhero-filled summer promotions, The Fantastic Four entered the chat on an exceptional high ahead of its July 25 theatrical premiere. Weeks prior to its big-screen debut, those cooking up the Marvel Studios outing‘s marketing strategy rolled out a shockingly low-priced real estate listing for the iconic landmark, The Baxter Building.

The home to the world-famous Fantastic Four quartet was listed on the very real marketplace Zillow for $4,444,444 despite its wholly fictional existence. The surprising Easter Egg eventually went viral on social media, as many succeeded in seeing through the marketing move, while others tripped up believing they could actually make the place their own.

“This remarkable residence blends timeless design with the latest innovations from ReedTech. Residents enjoy an adaptable living space that can stretch to fit their needs. Residents can “flame on!” with the high-tech kitchen’s indoor barbecue and get instant help around the house from their robotic H.E.R.B.I.E. assistant. Enjoy stunning city views, including the rocket launch pad where the Fantastic Four prep for their next cosmic mission. You might even see the Human Torch light up the sky!” read the listing by “Zillow agent” Jack West, who matched the 60s aesthetic of the film’s setting.

The sale mention accompanied a tour video that takes you inside the Marvel Studios’ set for The Fantastic Four: First Steps.

Playing on the signature ‘Four’ element of the Marvel storyline, the entire Zillow listing stretches out the hilarity by mentioning that the unreal abode has four bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. Worth $4,444,444, the space up for sale spans 4,444 sqft.

The Baxter Building’s features include the namesake Fantastic views, central living and dining area, and a communal kitchen – as seen in the clips of the upcoming movie released so far. The family residence is even “H.E.R.B.I.E. ready,” a nod to Reed Richards aka Mr Fantastic’s humanoid robot creation. Meanwhile, the workspace holds super-science laboratories, a communications centre, a machine shop and a robotics bay.

Amenities list boasts conversation pits, high-speed elevators, indoor barbecue, colour television, in-home bar, super security, fireproof furniture – just in case you need to “Flame On.” The parking space is home to a Skyport garage and is even “FantastiCar compatible.”

How fans reacted to the Baxter Building sale

Although a price tag flaunting the $4.4 million tag may not be in everyone’s reach, movie-lovers couldn’t help but question how a skyscraper, like the one in focus, could be worth just this much in New York.

The astoundingly low-priced listing left many shook to the core. With their eyebrows raised, someone commented, “$4M for this in New York? That’s how you know it’s set in the 60s,” which is on brand considering the July release is actually set in a 1960s that may or may not be the same as our own past reality. “A whole a** skyscraper for only 4mil? must be in the 60s money cuz theres no way in this economy,” chimed in another like-minded person.

“It’s a film about a man larger than the cosmos who sends his chrome surfer friend to place a takeout order for his planet-sized dinner and the thing that’s ruining my suspension of disbelief is the wildly cheap market value for a 4-bed nyc apartment,” Screenrant’s renowned journalist Liam Crowley added.

Another user cheered, “Take my money (Although I don’t have).” A fifth person went along with the “incredible marketing” scheme and questioned “Why not go all out and add the .44 cents?” A sixth user also joined in on the fun and games and said, “It looks fantastic.”

More fans hailed the “generational movie rollout,” while someone looked at how the listing even announced the ‘Meet Your Neighbours’ bit, introducing the Fantastic Four characters. “By far some of my favorite piece of marketing this film has ever gotten. This is seriously fantastic,” they wrote online.

Some even suggested Beyonce and Jay-Z as the ideal buyers for a space like this, signalling how it would be perfect if they snapped it up on Queen Bey’s 44th birthday, which arrives this September.

As established by the Zillow listing, The Baxter Building has it all. While you can’t actually make this future home your own reality or stay across ‘Fantastic’ neighbours like Reed Richards – a genius with the ability to stretch, Sue Storm – the Invisible Woman, Ben Grimm aka The Thing, and Johnny Storm, better known as the Human Torch, you can definitely catch them in the theatres this July.

Marvel Studios’ The Fantastic Four: First Steps comes is set for a theatrical release on July 25, 2025.
