India at Paris Olympics Game 2024: Indian archer Deepika Kumari’s journey at the Paris Olympics 2024 came to an end today as she lost to South Korea’s Nam Suhyeon in the women’s individual archery quarter-finals. The intense match at Les Invalides concluded with a score of 6-4 in favor of Nam Suhyeon.

Earlier in the day, Kumari showcased her exceptional skills by defeating Germany’s Michelle Kroppen 6-4 in the round of 16, securing her place in the quarter-finals. However, facing the formidable 19-year-old Nam Suhyeon, who had already claimed a gold medal in the women’s team event at these Olympics, proved to be a challenging task.

Nam Suhyeon, who had set an Olympic record of 2046 in the women’s team ranking round and achieved a personal best total of 688, displayed remarkable precision and consistency throughout the match. Despite Kumari’s efforts and strong performance, she ultimately fell short, concluding her campaign in Paris.

While this loss marks the end of Kumari’s individual event at the Olympics, her performance remains commendable, adding to her legacy as one of India’s leading archers.
