After a brief interruption, India and New Zealand are back on field in Bengaluru for day two of the opening Test today.

Earlier, play was halted due to rain, with India struggling at 13 for 3 when the interruption occurred. Starting the game, India quickly lost skipper Rohit Sharma (2), Virat Kohli (0) and Sarfaraz Khan (0).

Yashasvi Jaiswal (8) and Rishabh Pant (3) were at the crease as the Indian batters faced relentless pressure from the New Zealand seamers. Tim Southee, Matt Henry, and William O’Rourke each claimed a wicket, making it difficult for India to gain momentum.
