In a recent update to the ICC rankings, Afghanistan’s Mohammad Nabi ascended to the top spot in the T20I all-rounder rankings, while India’s Suryakumar Yadav retained his position as the top-ranked batter. This shift comes amidst Afghanistan’s unbeaten streak in the ongoing T20 World Cup, where they clinched victories against Uganda and New Zealand in Group C clashes.

Nabi’s stellar performances with both bat and ball earned him the number one ranking. The 39-year-old’s standout display, including two crucial wickets against New Zealand, propelled him to the summit of the rankings.

Meanwhile, Australia’s Marcus Stoinis climbed three places to secure the second position, surpassing Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan, who now occupies the fifth spot.

Pakistan’s Babar Azam claimed the third spot in the batting rankings, with England’s Jos Buttler securing the fifth position. Australia’s Travis Head made significant progress, entering the top 10 by moving six places to the tenth position.

Turning to the bowlers’ rankings, England’s Adil Rashid leads the pack, followed by Sri Lanka’s Wanindu Hasaranga. Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan and Fazalhaq Farooqi occupy the third and fourth spots, respectively, with South Africa’s Anrich Nortje sharing the fourth position with Farooqi.

Rashid, the Afghan captain, boasts six wickets in two matches, while his compatriot Farooqi leads the tournament’s wicket-takers’ list with nine scalps in two games. Nortje follows closely behind as the second-highest wicket-taker, claiming eight wickets in as many games.
