Siraj’s tears
After India’s defeat in the final to Australia, Siraj couldn’t hold his tears. He was consoled by Bumrah and other teammates. The emotional scenes were captured by the camera, and the video and stills floated on the internet after the game.
Siraj’s performance in World Cup
The right-arm seamer Mohammad Siraj took 14 wickets for India during the World Cup. He was a regular in the team and played all eleven games. He is currently ranked 2 in the ICC ODI bowling rankings. Hailing from Hyderabad, Siraj has emerged as one of the prime bowling options for India and led the pace attack during Jasprit Bumrah’s absence from the team due to injury in 2023.
