Samsung is set to launch a new smartphone in India on Wednesday, January 17 that will ‘redefine the shopping experience of consumers’ with the launch of a new service in India. Samsung has sent out media invites for the launch of its new smartphone that is expected to be the Galaxy On7 Prime. The Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime has already been listed on Amazon India along with the full set of specifications and a new feature called Samsung Mall. Samsung is debuting its new service in India with the Galaxy On7 Prime that aims to ‘transform the shopping experience’.
The new Samsung Mall feature is essentially a shopping app from Samsung that has been designed for the Indian e-commerce and shopping websites and will debut with Galaxy On7 Prime. According to the Amazon listing, the Samsung Mall feature will work on the concept of ‘Shoot It. Shop It.’ that will let you simply click the photo of your the item you wish to buy and the Visual Search technology will search for the product across ‘multiple online shopping sites’. You can also choose an existing photo from the gallery to search via Visual Search across different e-commerce platforms. The Samsung Mall will have a unified experience of all the e-commerce websites of India in a single app, which will let you browse products in multiple categories across all the shopping websites. You can further review all your orders from all the websites in a single cart.
Coming to the Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime, which has been constantly teased by Amazon India as an ‘exclusive’, the smartphone is expected to be a mid-ranger. The smartphone will be powered by an octa-core 1.6GHz Exynos 7870 SoC coupled with two RAM and storage configurations – 3GB/ 32GB and 4GB/ 64GB – which is further expandable via microSD card up to 256GB. The Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime houses a 5.5-inch full-HD display and will come with 13-megapixel cameras with f/1.9 aperture on both the front and rear sides. The rear camera unit is supported by an LED flash module. The Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime will come with Samsung Pay Mini support to enable cardless transactions across multiple offline stores.
