Jammu and Kashmir’s Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh today hailed the recent initiative by the Centre of acceding to the demands of ex-servicemen and announcing the One Rank One Pension (OROP) notification for the implementation of the scheme.
Singh said that the step would go a long way in addressing the demands of ex-servicemen, who had been demanding the implementation of OROP scheme since long.
He said the move of the Centre speaks volumes about the Centre’s motive to address long-pending issues and demands and should be welcomed by everyone.
