This year, the politics couldn't help but make its way onto the Emmy Awards stage. Stephen Colbert kicked off the show with a lavish song and dance number. During his opening monologue, the comedian took jab at the Trump presidency several times, including one where he indicated that his prior Emmy losses for "Celebrity Apprentice" somehow influenced his decision to run for President-and eventual win.
