Sultan box office collections: Whether anyone likes it or not, Salman Khan is going to make his movie run in theaters till it breathes its last – or reaches the Rs 300 crore mark, whichever comes first. While that may not be called fighting to the bitter end, what it means for the actor is a sweet ending, if he can make an entry into this exclusive club. At the moment the going is excruciating, for the industry watchers if not for the filmmakers. Should Salman be liable for causing hurt to cinema goers' sentiments? Just kidding! Sultan box office collections: Over the weeks we have seen the competition come and die a decent death and they were buried after carrying out the last rites in a suitable manner. But no such thing happening to Sultan movie. We will be waiting till kingdom come, or so it seems, before we see the back of this film – good though it was. Perhaps, if Dishoom was not such a success at the box office, Sultan would have reached its intended target sooner and then would have been wheel-chaired out of the cinemas. But Varun Dhawan and John Abraham are not doing it any favours. They are hogging the attention of the cinema goers at the moment and they are likely to keep doing so well into the week. Sultan box office collections: Salman Khan has been making movies for decades, but this kind of hunt for records was not seen before. Considering he is as good a businessman as he is an actor (C'mon, he has made oodles of cash at the B.O., he surely qualifies!), so if we take that as granted, is there something special in the Rs 300 crore club. Unless of course, he has bet his shirt on the movie entering that club, it is hard to see what's in it for the actor, except of course the bragging rights – 'I have xx number of movies in Rs 300 cr club, how many do you?'. But that is a conversation that would appear alien to Bhai, no? (Image Source: Twitter)

Sultan box office collections: One unsung hero, OK, OK, heroine, in Sultan is Anushka Sharma. Her role needs to be highlighted. The actress has managed to do so well with her performance by handling the unimaginable wrestling scenes with ease. That must have come from long hours of practice. Salman Khan pushing wrestlers' faces in the dirt is all very well but it needed a special medium/entity that would keep the movie grounded and provide that extra glamorous touch. The lady did not overdo the scenes where she has appeared and helped lead the movie to a credible conclusion. Her role deserves credit. The actress has been caught in many movies where she has not been equal to the task provided, even though she has been a part of a number of biggie Bollywood movies, but that has not been the case with her in Sultan – imagine, a female wrestler throwing male ones around like so much confetti.
