A sex scene between former Australian fast bowler, currently, actor-guitar player Brett Lee and Indian actress Tannishtha Chatterjee has reportedly upset the Pahlaj Nihalani led Censor Board which had asked Indian origin filmmaker Anupam Sharma to cut out the offending scene that goes on and on in the film. However, one thing the filmmaker should be glad about is a different aspect of the movie that could have raised Board's hackles, and that is the title itself, 'UnIndian'. It has all the necessary ingredients to start a huge controversy. (Photo: UnIndian trailer)

According to Sharma the sex scene has been very well presented, sensitively even, not to upset even the orthodox Indian tastes, but as far as the Censor Board is concerned sex is to be confined to the bedroom and that too perhaps shrouded in darkness. (Photo: UnIndian trailer)

While the opposition to Lee in India should be nothing new, considering he was a bowler that most feared to face and many jokes were cracked by fans asking that the pacer should be banned, but a Brett Lee in the buff with an Indian actress is hardly something to be feared or treated with horror. The man has made a movie for the Indian audience and there is nothing wrong with a lovemaking scene on the big screen when handled deftly – after all, much, much worse is available at a moment's notice on the Net to anyone and everyone at the click of a few buttons. And here is the Censor Board asking for as much as 65 seconds of the scene to be trashed. (Photo: UnIndian trailer)

In his reaction to Mumbai Mirror Sharma ruefully said, "It is a beautiful scene where they make love for the first time. The music escalates as the sequences set in the two different settings unfold. It is artistically shot but the Indian Censor Board wants it to be cut." Getting into the specifics of the sex scene, Sharma said "We have been asked to only show Lee's side profile and not his back. That's like ripping off the film's heartbeat" 'UnIndian' release date is August 19. (Photo: UnIndian trailer)
