Beware, students! This might come as a shock to you as University Grants Commission (UGC) has decided to suspend the engineering degrees granted by four deemed to be universities through distance mode. This move by UGC comes after the Supreme Court order on engineering degrees awarded to students through distance learning mode. Earlier this month, Supreme Court had restrained all deemed universities across the country from continuing any distance learning courses from 2018-19.
