Addressing the BJP Parliamentary Party, he said relationships with neighbours will be maintained on the basis of humanitarian outlook and cited how India had come to the aid its neighbours in times of crisis. "The Prime Minister said the possibility of maintaining good ties with Pakistan only exists under this government. We are confident that we will maintain good relations with Pakistan as well as other neighbouring countries," Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi told the media briefing about the PM's remarks. He said the Prime Minister told BJP MPs that during the NDA government, ties with neighbouring countries have improved and will be furthered based on the principle of humanitarian outlook. <b>Uttar Pradesh to have 'labs' for policing social media: </b> Realising that social media with its massive reach and lightning speed has the potential "to affect law and order", Akhilesh Yadav government is setting up two "laboratories" to monitor activities on sites like Facebook, Whatsapp and Twitter, which will enable law enforcement agency to study the contents and counter them before any damage is done, according to officials. It will be manned by police to monitor content and prevent any trouble. <b>Delhi weather:</b> It was a cloudy morning today in the national capital with likely showers in some parts of the city, officials said. Minimum temperature was recorded at 27.5 degree Celsius, which was two notches above normal, according to MeT department. An official of the department said that humidity level was recorded as 61 per cent till 8.30 AM in the morning. "There will be partly cloudy sky. Light rains or thunderstorm may occur in the capital today. Besides, dust storm is also expected," official said. The official also said that maximum temperature is expected to settle at 39 degree Celsius. Yesterday, Delhi recorded a day temperature at 38.7 degree Celsius which was one notch below normal, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 26 degrees Celsius, a notch above normal.(PTI) (13/05/2015)

Lakhs of people in the national capital faced hardships in commuting this morning due to the strike, but the bus service was restored in the afternoon after the government threatened to take strict action against the protesters. <b>Urdu schools which don't teach Marathi would be derecognised, says Eknath Khadse: </b> After announcing introduction of Marathi foundation course at Urdu medium schools from class VIII to class X, the state minorities affairs minister Eknath Khadse today said the schools which don't teach the language would be derecognised. "I have specific information that there are some Urdu medium schools which do not teach Marathi. This cannot be allowed. If the language, which is our mother-tongue, is not taught in schools, children studying in such schools would never be able to get good marks in competitive exams like MPSC and UPSC as well as in medical and engineering courses," Khadse said. "We will be sending notices to such schools. If they fail to pay heed, we will not hesitate to derecognise them. We want children studying in these schools to become IAS officers and top cops," he added.(PTI) (13/05/2015)

<b>US helicopter crashes during Nepal earthquake aid mission?</b> A US military helicopter carrying six Marines and two Nepalese Army soldiers went missing during a mission in Nepal delivering aid to earthquake victims, US defense officials said today, but so far there have been no indications that the aircraft crashed. US Army Col Steve Warren said an Indian helicopter in the air nearby at the time heard radio chatter about a possible fuel problem. He said the Huey had dropped off supplies in one location and was en route to a second site when contact was lost.
