Foreign funding: HC no to CBI probe against AAP and Arvind Kejriwal : The Delhi High Court on Thursday dismissed a plea seeking CBI probe into the funding of Arvind Kejriwal and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in alleged violation of provisions of FCRA, saying a complaint is already being probed by an agency. A bench of Chief Justice G Rohini and Justice Rajiv Sahai Endlaw also declined a request for registration of a criminal case against Delhi Chief Minster Arvind Kejriwal and Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia under Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA) and conducting day-to-day trial under high court supervision. Arun Jaitley rejects allegations as AAP escalates attack: As AAP escalated its attack, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Thursday hit back on allegations of irregularities against him in the DDCA affairs, saying it was a propaganda technique of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to deflect attention when he himself was in the "dock". Prosecution's case against Salman Khan was "weak": HC ruling: While giving Bollywood actor Salman Khan benefit of doubt in the 2002 hit-and-run case, the Bombay High Court has observed that the prosecution's case was weak and appreciation of evidence by the trial court was not legaland proper. "….in the considered view of this court, the appreciation of the evidence as is done by the trial court in the present matter is not proper and legal as per the settled principles of criminal jurisprudence," Justice A R Joshi said in the 350-page judgement which was uploaded on the High Court website last night. 8. 26/11 accused used fake stamps to attest ID: Pak witness: Fahim Ansari, earlier accused of being an LeT member and co conspirator in the 2008 Mumbai attack case, used fake Pakistani official seals to attest his false identity under which he travelled to Pakistan, a government witness told the anti-terrorism court. "Fake stamps of my department for attestation of the fake computerised national identity card (CNIC) of Hammad Hassan were used," Sadiq, an employee of the Parliament House, testified in the ATC Islamabad which held the hearing at the Adiala Jail Rawalpindi yesterday, according to a court official. 9. 28 girls hurt after falling from school roof as wall collapses in Moradabad: As many as 28 girl students being chased by monkeys were injured on Thursday after they fell from school building's roof here when its parapet wall collapsed, police said on Thursday. A group of monkeys attacked the school girls who were roaming on the roof. In a bid to save themselves, they reportedly tried to climb the parapet wall which collapsed, ASP Sujata Singh said. Jose Mourinho sacked as Chelsea manager: Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has left the club "by mutual consent" after a disastrous start to the season, the Premier League champions announced on Thursday. "Chelsea Football Club and Jose Mourinho have on Thursday parted company by mutual consent," the club said in a statement on their website, confirming earlier media reports. "All at Chelsea thank Jose for his immense contribution since he returned as manager in the summer of 2013."
