Mahindra group to acquire Italian design firm Pininfarina:<br> Mahindra group on Monday announced it will acquire Italian automotive and industrial design firm Pininfarina for an overall outgo of over 50 million Euros (nearly Rs 370 crore) after months of negotiations. Jet Airways makes Amsterdam new European gateway; announces flights from March:<br> Private carrier Jet Airways has said that Amsterdam will serve as the new hub for its international operations to Europe and onwards even as it announced the launch of direct flight services to the Dutch capital from March next year. Nissan, Renault, Skoda to hike prices by up to Rs 50K from Jan:<br> Auto makers Nissan, Renault and Skoda will hike prices by up to Rs 50,000 from January next year to partially offset the impact of rising input costs. All the three companies have announced to increase prices of their respective models by up to 3 per cent from first week of January, 2016. "The price increase is to offset the rising input costs. The revision of prices will soften the negative impact and help the company stay competitive," Nissan Motor India Managing Director Arun Malhotra said in a statement.</br>(Image Source: AP)

GIFT City begins phase-2 development: Gujarat International Finance<br> Tec-City (GIFT City) on Monday said it has launched Phase-2 development, wherein focus will be on the country's first International Financial Services Centre (IFSC) being set up in the GIFT SEZ area. GIFT City's Phase-1 development process received an overwhelming response from realty developers and leading BFSI and IT players as well. E-tailer Voylla to hire over 300 by March:<br> E-commerce firm Voylla Fashions on Monday announced its plans to hire more than 300 people, mostly for mid-level positions across divisions, by the end of the current financial year. "As we get aggressive on our expansion plans, we'll be strengthening our task force at all levels and have fresh and experienced talent join us," Voylla Fashions CEO and founder Vishwas Shringi said in a statement. The company "plans to hire 300 people across divisions by this financial year". </br>

British Airways offers one-way upgrade to first class for business class passengers:<br> UK's flag carrier British Airways (BA) on Monday announced free one-way upgrade to first class for its business class passengers flying to London from here and Mumbai to woo customers ahead of the Christmas and new Year travel. British Airways is delighted to welcome its customers from Mumbai and Delhi with an exclusive one-way upgrade offer from Club World (business) to First cabin, the airline said in a release. Tata Motors: Tata Motors' newly appointed chief Guenter Butschek on Thursday said that the company will undertake a transformation exercise, which would include a relook at brand positioning, revamping products and increasing its global footprint, in order to be "future ready". "Tata Motors will undergo a major transformation process in order to get future ready…We would like to effectively review the entire setup of Tata Motors as far as its structure is concerned, as far as the processes are concerned and when it comes to manufacturing, as far as the equipment and tools are concerned," he told reporters in his maiden media interaction.
