ICC U19 World Cup 2018 is a biennial tournament and is scheduled to be hosted in New Zealand. The Junior WC was first hosted in 1988 and the trophy was lifted by Australia. However, back then it was not called the ICC U-19 WC but Youth World Cup instead. It was later in 1998, that the tournament was held again, and since then it is being held every two years. India have won the World Cup three times, and it has has proved to be a stepping stone for many to enter the senior Indian team.
