SEBI dismissed allegations of stock manipulation made by U.S. short-seller Hindenburg Research against the Adani Group. SEBI said that the allegations against the Adani Group could not be established. The market regulator disposed of any possibility of a penalty and proceedings against Gautam Adani, Rajesh Adani, Adani Ports and Adani Power.

Yes Bank

Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) has completed the acquisition of a 20% stake in Yes Bank through secondary purchase of shares from State Bank of India and other banks, the private lender said on Thursday. Following the stake acquisition, SMBC has nominated two directors on the board, according to the bank’s regulatory filing. With effect from September 18, Shinichiro Nishino and Rajeev Veeravalli Kannan have joined as non-executive and non-independent directors.

JK Tyre

JK Tyre & Industries, which posted muted revenues in FY25, expects double-digit growth this fiscal on the back of stronger tyre demand expected on the back of higher automobile sales across segments after the recent GST rate cut.

Oil India

Oil and gas exploration and production company Oil India has so far received dividends amounting to $942 million from its Russian assets, representing over 91% of its original investment in Vankorneft and Taas Yuryak,h and expects full recovery in the coming year, the company’s chairman and managing director (CMD) Ranjit Rath said on Thursday.

Biocon 

Biocon’s subsidiary, Biocon Biologics (BBL), announced that Yesafili (aflibercept), its biosimilar to Eylea, is now publicly funded in Ontario, Canada, for the treatment of retinal diseases. The funding covers both vial and prefilled syringe presentations of a 2 mg/0.05 ml dosage, making treatment more accessible to patients under the province’s public insurance system.

One MobiKwik Systems

One MobiKwik Systems confirmed that a technical issue on September 11-12, 2025, caused certain failed transactions to be incorrectly marked as successful, resulting in unauthorised payouts to some merchants in and around the Nuh district, Haryana. “A few merchants and users from this area exploited this issue to gain undue financial benefit,” the press release added.

Vedanta

Vedanta said it has been declared the preferred bidder for the Punnam manganese block in Andhra Pradesh. The company participated in the state government’s e-auction process after qualifying in the initial bid stage. According to a notification issued by the Department of Mines & Geology, Andhra Pradesh, Vedanta was selected as the preferred bidder on September 18, 2025.

Texmaco Rail & Engineering

Texmaco Rail & Engineering said it has secured an order worth Rs 86.85 crore from Ultratech Cement Limited. The contract involves the supply of BCFC wagons along with a brake van. The delivery of the contract is scheduled to be completed by March 2026.
