Now you can offer shares to Mumbai-based Shree Siddhivinayak Temple as the temple trust joined hands with SBICAP Securities to provide devotees with an electronic platform to make donations of financial instruments, including shares.

Initially a devotee can donate stocks of listed entities in electronic format via a demat account set up specially for the Temple. Going forward this initiative will extend to other financial instruments like mutual funds, bonds, gold ETFs etc.

In a release, SBICAP Securities said, “There will be a seamless transfer to the temple and devotees can avail of this opportunity from anywhere, through an electronic platform. An agreement to this effect was exchanged between Mani Palvesan, managing director, SBICAP Securities and Narendra Murari Rane, chairman, Shree Siddhivinayak Ganapati Temple Trust at a programme held in Mumbai.”

Staffs of SBICAP Securities will be among the first donors under this initiative. Palvesan said, “The initiative will enable lakhs of devotees to present their alternate financial offerings in a timely and convenient manner.”
