Taiwanese device-maker Asus has launched its latest smartphone ZenFone 2 in India. The phone is available in five colours: black, gold, grey, red and white. ZenFone 2 has an incredibly slim profile—it is just 3.9 mm at the thinnest edge. It is also equipped with a high-resolution 1,920 x 1,080 full-HD IPS display that offers wide 178-degree viewing angles. The phone is powered by a 64-bit 2.3 GHz Quad-Core Intel Atom Z3580 processor and runs Android 5.0
Lollipop with the Zen user interface. Asus ZenFone 2 has 4 GB of dual-channel DDR3 RAM capability and also features LTE Category 4+ for download speeds up to 250 Mbit/s, and a 60 milliseconds touch response time. The phone is equipped with 802.11ac super-fast Wi-Fi, which is a supercharged version of 802.11n (the current Wi-Fi standard that your smartphone and laptop probably use). It offers speed from 433 Mbit/s and operates in up to eight spatial streams (MIMO), employing an advanced technology called ‘beamforming’ to increase throughput and reduce power consumption. The phone’s variants are priced from Rs 12,999 to Rs 22,999.
