OnePlus 15 the flagship smartphone from OnePlus is all set to release in China this month. However just ahead of the launch the specifications of the smartphone have been confirmed online bu the company on a Chinese social media platform Weibo. The OnePlus 15 5G is expected to fall in the premium smartphone segment, with an estimated price between Rs. 70,000 and Rs. 75,000 in India. This puts it in competition with top-end phones from brands like Samsung, Apple, and Xiaomi.

In a post on Weibo, the company has confirmed that its upcoming OnePlus 15 will sport a third-generation BOE Flexible Oriental Display. OnePlus claims that the new BOE Oriental screen will offer 13 percent improvement in terms of HBM brightness, 11.8 percent enhanced colour shift, while increasing its lifespan by 30 percent (translated from Chinese) over its predecessor

Design and Build Quality

OnePlus is working on improving both the look and durability of the phone, according to some insider reports and leaks. The OnePlus 15 will likely feature a metal frame with a micro-arc oxidation finish, which should make the phone more resistant to scratches and dents. A new “Sand Storm” color is also expected to be introduced.

The back panel may use fiberglass material, giving it a lightweight yet strong feel. The camera bump is said to be redesigned, and rumors suggest the return of a customizable shortcut button, known as the “Plus Key.

Processor and Cameras

The smartphone will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, which promises top-level performance and speed. It may also include an advanced cooling system to help manage heat during gaming or heavy use.

Camera upgrades are also expected, with reports hinting at a triple 50-megapixel setup, including wide, ultra-wide, and telephoto lenses. OnePlus may drop the Hasselblad branding this time, replacing it with its own camera technology called DetailMax.
