Google is testing a new Discover Feed on its desktop homepage— Google.com nearly identical to Google Discover’s Android app. The new design incorporates suggested content alongside the conventional search bar on the company’s website.
Thanks to folks at MSPowerUser for reporting this; a screenshot displays a feed featuring news headlines, weather updates, sports scores, and stock data for three companies. Google introduced the Discover Feed to its US mobile homepage back in 2018.

Google has confirmed to The Verge that they are conducting a test in India, emphasizing that it’s currently in the experimental phase. The Google Discover feed, initially introduced as the “Feed” in the Google app for Android in 2017, was later extended to the mobile web version of Search in 2018.
In 2021, it further expanded to Samsung devices and integrated into Google Chrome. Discover is now a fundamental part of the Android experience, providing weather, stock, sports updates, and a news feed tailored to users’ interests. This feature is also available within the Google app for iOS.

The new Google.com homepage design appears to include a news feed and an “At A Glance” section featuring sports scores, stocks, and weather, mirroring the experience available on the Google app for Android and iOS.
Google has previously conducted experiments with its desktop homepage. In the past year, 9to5Google observed a test where Google’s desktop homepage featured a row of widget-like cards displaying a mix of news stories, weather forecasts, and stock information.
As highlighted by MSPowerUser, Google’s experimental design resembles what Microsoft offers on its search engine, Bing, which already provides a comprehensive list of news stories and more.
