OpenAI the AI startup behind one of the most advanced AI large language model, ChatGPT-5 is finding its model being used for getting relationship advice. Recently, a Reddit user accessed the language model for getting some relationship advice, Yep, your’s is not the only one going through a rough phase!!, following his interaction with the AI chatbot he posted about in a Reddit post which gained a lot of attention.
However, this person is not the first one to get relationship advice from the AI model, several people have done it in the past. The person was asking the chatbot about why his colleague who was laughing at his jokes, drinking coffee with him and chatting all day long with him-suddenly why did she feel distant from him one day.
What Exactly did he ask?
“I’ve been talking to this girl from work for a few weeks now. Things seemed to be going well – we grab coffee, text throughout the day, she laughs at my jokes. You know, all the good signs. But then yesterday she seemed distant and I couldn’t figure out why,” he wrote.
He also added that him asking some relationship advice from ChatGPT-5 was very normal and anyone would surely do it. He wrote in the same Reddit post that “So naturally, I did what any rational person would do at 11 PM – I asked ChatGPT what went wrong,”.
What advice did he receive?
The Redditor detailed his last conversations to ChatGPT, expecting “generic” advice. However, he was in for a shock as he received a situation-tailored response about which he said “Instead, ChatGPT asks me: In your last few conversations with her, how often did you ask about her day versus telling her about yours?,”.
People interacting in the past with the chatbot have also received generic responses. However, to this man’s query, the model responded in a better way, showcasing how much the model has evolved. This model was also claimed to be the most advanced by Sam Altman.
