Xiaomi India Managing Director Manu Kumar Jain in a tweet said that Redmi 3S is now the ‘highest selling phone ever in online India’. Xiaomi’s Redmi 3S which costs Rs 6,999 was launched alongside its higher variant the Redmi 3S Prime, priced at Rs 8,999 in August, according to an Indian Express report. Xiaomi claims that the unique selling point (USP) of their phone is a 4,100 mAh battery that can last two days.

Jain also teased Xiaomi’s upcoming phone which will succeed the Redmi 3S. Indian Express report says that the smartphone may be called Redmi 4. The new Xiaomi phone is expected to be launched later this month.
Xiaomi’s budget smartphones have done quite well in India. The company is now the second-largest smartphone vendor in India. The smartphone manufacturer announced in February that they sold over three million smartphones in India in six months.
The Redmi 3S features a 5-inch HD display, octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor. The smartphone features a 2GB RAM+16GB internal storage.There is also a 3GB RAM version of the phone, which has a 32GB storage variant as well.
The more expensive variant of the smartphone also has a fingerprint scanner on the back. Xiaomi Redmi 3S has a 13MP rear-facing camera and a 5MP front-facing camera.
The Indian Express in their review of the smartphone had called it the ‘Battery King’.
