Dr. Rajan’s early schooling was at Adoor Holy Angels, and secondary-level education was at Mar Ivanios College, Thiruvananthapuram. After graduating from RUDN University, he followed it up with a fellowship in cardiovascular surgery from the Bakulev Scientific Center of Cardiovascular Surgery. He did his Compulsory Rotating Resident Internship (CRRI) at the Government Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram. He then obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Cardiology from the Kerala Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) and a Ph.D. in cardiology from RUDN University.
