Ahead of a critical hearing in Blake Lively’s yearlon sexual harassment and retaliation legal action against her It Ends With Us co-star and director Justin Baldoni, Taylor Swift has once again been dragged into what has become the messiest Hollywood feud.

New legal documents obtained by TMZ appear to indicate that the billionaire pop diva was all-in on hating the Jane the Virgin star from the word go. The docs revealed just under 48 hours before the summary judgement hearing in New York have also dragged in other A-list names into the seemingly endless It Ends With Us drama – Matt Damon and Ben Affleck.

Inside Taylor Swift-Blake Lively’s text chain about Justin Baldoni: Report

As per the details of the documents unveiled by TMZ, Taylor Swift reached out to Blake Lively via a text message in early December 2024. Therein, she indirectly mentioned Baldoni and the then-upcoming bombshell New York Times article that claimed the actor-director was behind a smear campaign against the Gossip Girl alum.

“I think this bi**h knows something is coming because he’s gotten out his tiny violin,” Taylor allegedly wrote in the text message revealed as part of Lively’s unsealed deposition on Tuesday (US time).

The reported docs flip the script by challenging previous claims that Swift was simply an innocent bystander in the controversial entanglement of Lively and Baldoni. The big expose appears to argue that the pop diva was strategically involved in Blake’s plan, as her alleged text to the actress added, “If Justin was strategic, he would be like no Taylor Swift in the trailer because that gives you more power over the film, that’s your ally not his.”

Meanwhile, Lively said in her deposition that sent the script to the “Lovely Story” songstress as she was on her way to Blake’s apartment while Justin Baldoni was still there, as per TMZ.

“I asked her to read them. I told her she didn’t have to, I didn’t want her to feel pressure to do that, but I hope that she would.”

Taylor, on the other hand, responded via text: “I’ll do anything for you!!” On top of that, Lively pushed at the apartment that even Swift was behind the revised draft of the movie.

Following the now-infamous penthouse meeting, Lively wrote back to Swift, praising her for being “epically heroic” on the day. ” I recapped every moment to Ryan. I kept remembering stuff — You making s*** up about me and lenses. And referring to yourself as my doll,” she added, as per TMZ.

Shortly after that, the Shallows actress alluded to Justin Baldoni, and added in her texts: “This clown falling for all of it. But also resisting it. You are the worlds absolute greatest friend ever,” as per TMZ.

Taylor Swift’s team said something else in the past

As has already been established, the newly surfaced text messages allegedly exchanged between Swift and Lively position Taylor as an intentional participant behind the scenes.

However, when previously outed documents first name-dropped the singer, her team asserted in statements to US outlets that she had no clue that a meeting with Baldoni was taking place at the penthouse.

Hollywood top duo Matt Damon and Ben Affleck dragged into Blake Lively-Justin Baldoni feud

While the Hollywood besties are currently off doing press for their latest collaboration, Netflix’s The Rip, Blake Lively’s legal action against Baldoni seems to have ripped them a new one too.

Giving all the more reason for their names to stay in headlines, for controversial terms, this time, the pair was name-dropped in the same series of lengthy documents, as also reported by the Daily Mail.

Citing the details of the court papers, the UK news outlet expounded that Lively is believed to have bad-mouthed Baldoni not just to Taylor Swift, but other famous pals as well. This list includes A-listers like Matt Damon and his wife Lucy. According to the Daily Mail, Lively purportedly also called Baldoni a “chaotic clown” in her conversation with Ben Affleck.

TMZ’s report further shed light on a purported interaction between Ryan Reynolds and Matt and Lucy Damon, wherein he asked them to push for Lively’s cut of It Ends With Us. The Deadpool star is quoted writing the following text: “a malignantly vein (sic), sociopathic FAUXminist with almost no sense of boundaries or shame. I cannot believe he hasn’t gone to jail.”

Lively reportedly reached out to Affleck the same day over the same issue. In her texts, she cited “wild HR issues on set,” while seeking his support.

The expansive documents further suggest that Lively tried getting Anna Wintour and Bradley Cooper on her team as well, according to TMZ.

A summary judgement hearing in Lively’s lawsuit against Baldoni is scheduled for January 22. The full-fledged trial proceedings are currently slated for May 2026.
