Nitesh Tiwari’s magnum opus, Ramayana, has been in the news ever since it was announced. Touted as the most expensive film ever made in India, the epic saga already has a lot of buzz around it. Being made on a reported budget of over Rs 1600 crore, it’s not just the budget of the film that’s being talked about, but also the star cast. Probably one of the biggest ensemble cast in recent times, Ramayana stars the who’s who of Indian cinema – from Ranbir Kapoor to Sai Pallavi to Sunny Doel, among many, many others. And now, the details of the cast fees of Ramayana is out, which justifies the budget of the movie. From Ranbir Kapoor to Sunny Deol, here’s a look at who took home what for the movie.

Ranbir Kapoor

As per Siasat.com, Ranbir Kapoor, who will portray Lord Rama, is the top-earning cast member of the epic saga. He is said to be reported Rs 75 crore per installment of the film, amounting to Rs 150 crore for both parts of the film.

Sai Pallavi

Starring opposite Kapoor, Sai Pallavi is playing the role of Goddess Sita. She reportedly charged Rs 6 crore for each part, resulting in an overall payout of Rs 12 crore.

Yash

Kannada superstar Yash, portraying the Raavan, is not only acting in the film but also producing it under his company Monster Mind Creations. According to reports, he is earning Rs 50 crore for every segment, bringing his total fee to Rs 100 crore.

Sunny Deol

Veteran actor Sunny Deol will be seen as Lord Hanuman. As per Republic, he is said to be receiving Rs 20 crore for each installment, amounting to Rs 40 crore overall.

Ravie Dubey

Television actor Ravie Dubey, who plays Laxman, Lord Ram’s younger brother, is believed to be earning between Rs 2 to 4 crore. However, there’s no confirmed report whether this amount is just for the first part.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the saga is rooted in ancient Indian mythology and set nearly 5,000 years ago. According to a press statement, the first installment of Ramayana will hit theatres on Diwali 2026, followed by the second part on Diwali 2027.

Ramayana also has roped in a bunch of international talent, such as Terry Notary (Avengers, Planet of the Apes) and Guy Norris (Mad Max: Fury Road, Furiosa) for the action choreography, particularly the large-scale battles between Ram and Raavan. The film’s stunning set and visuals are designed by acclaimed production designers Ravi Bansal (Dune 2, Aladdin) and Ramsey Avery (Captain America, Tomorrowland), promising a saga that’s never been seen before.
