Shah Rukh Khan at Disney cruise: Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan is set to narrate The Lion King: Celebration in the Sky, a fireworks display, at Disney’s adventure cruise line. Putting on their best show, the cruise will make its debut sail from Singapore on March 10, later this year. As the skies light up with fireworks, SRK’s voice will rule the horizon with his narration of the iconic ‘The Lion King’.

However, Shah Rukh Khan’s association with Disney’s ‘The Lion King’ runs long back. He had famously dubbed for ‘The Lion King’ in 2019 and 2024’s ‘Mufasa’. Charming the skies with his effortless charisma, ‘King Khan’ returns to Disney in 2026. The Disney Adventure by Disney Cruise Line is also Asia’s first such cruise with immersive theme-based entertainment.

Highlights of the Disney Cruise

The tickets for the maiden voyage start at Rs 1.83 lakh for a 4-night cruise from Singapore. It includes Broadway shows, pools, waterslides, and activities for adults and kids. Starting from the iconic Marina Bay, travellers can explore the culinary galore at the port. Days at the sea will include on-board Disney-themed adventures, upscale restaurants, buffets, and poolside snacks. It is one of the few cruise lines designed specially for children, teens, and tweens.

With 17 decks, the iconic cruise can house over 6000 passengers and have 7 immersive zones – Disney Imagination Garden, Toy Story Place, Marvel Landing, San Fransokyo Street (Big Hero 6), Wayfinder Bay (Moana), Disney Discovery Reef, and Town Square.

One of the highlights is this aerial display, which fuses Bollywood with Disney, as Shah Rukh Khan’s voice will enliven the sky on select evenings. Other features include Circle of Life and the Hakuna Matata soundtrack, as SRK adds a hint of Bollywood magic to the waters.

Has Shah Rukh Khan lent his voice to animations before?

Yes! The Bollywood heartthrob rules more than just Bollywood romances. More than two decades ago, he lent his voice to Mr Incredible (Mr Lajawab) in 2004’s The Incredibles, with his son, Aryan Khan, debuting as his son. During his stint as Mufasa, Khan narrated the lead role in the Hindi version, with sons Aryan and AbRam voicing Simba and young Mufasa, respectively.
