This isn’t the first time Bieber has made headlines for showing up at high-profile Indian celebrations. In 2024, the pop icon flew to India to perform at the lavish sangeet ceremony of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, an event that became the talk of the world. Reports suggest Bieber was paid a staggering $10 million for his performance. The star-studded function also featured performances by international icons Rihanna and Katy Perry, making it one of the most extravagant wedding celebrations in recent history.
Justin Bieber’s work front
Justin Bieber’s surprise appearance comes shortly after the release of his much-anticipated seventh studio album, Swag, which dropped on July 11, 2025. The album features a mix of genres and collaborations with some of today’s biggest names, including Gunna, Druski, Dijon, Lil B, Sexyy Red, Cash Cobain, Eddie Benjamin, and Marvin Winans.
Speaking about the project, Cash Cobain, one of Bieber’s collaborators on the title track praised the singer’s laidback personality. “Justin’s mad cool,” the 27-year-old drill artist said. Cobain, whose real name is Cashmere Lavon Small, revealed that their partnership began after Bieber discovered his track Trippin on a Yacht on social media and directly messaged him to discuss working together.
In an interview with GQ, Cobain added, “I wrote bro like, ‘We got to get some work in.’ So I’m like, all right, boom — took bro’s number down and then we was chopping it up for, I don’t know, a couple days.”
‘Where are your pants?’
Netizens posted their opinion on the clip. A user noted, “Disrespectful imo… even if those marrying wouldn’t mind — wearing pants that low and basically wearing streetwear is rude.” Another wrote, “y. I mean, come on, it looks like they just fell out of bed and put on some baggy pants and take their greasy hair – ew – and cover it up with a backwards cap and like, we’re expected to swoon? I don’t think so.”
A netizen claimed, “I was walking in front of a guy in the street a few days ago and this exact speech came in my head. As someone who was young the first time around (and hated it then), i was genuinely concerned i had time slipped.”
“Low rise are quite the choice for me now i need the high waist to keep it all in lol. I’ve been wearing ballet flats since 1997 and i don’t plan to stop… ever… I just bought some flairs that are exactly like ones i was wearing in 2001. Comparing pictures i look basically the same except my face wrinkles are a jump scare in comparison,” added anonther.
