Bridgerton Season 4 Part One X reviews: Dearest Gentle Readers, the verdict is finally here as Bridgerton Season 4 Part One officially released on Netflix on January 29. Leaving the Internet divided and as they wait for Bridgerton Season 4 Part One, netizens are unable to pick a side. While several describe the first four episodes of the series as ‘nothing remotely exciting’ or a ‘cheap Cinderella’ version, others have appreciated it as cinema.

As fans compare it to the debut season, Bridgerton Season 4 is off to a promising start. While some fans having binge-watched the four episodes in four hours, others are yet to join the bandwagon. Calling the fourth season ‘worth the wait’, some are demanding more screen time for Benedict Bridgerton and Sophie Baek, the newest ‘couple’ in society.

Bridgerton Season 4 Part One picks up where it left off, as Eloise and Francesca return from Scotland. Colin and Penelope welcome the child as the season starts with a state-of-the-art, cinematic masquerade ball. Hosted at the Bridgerton house, it becomes a rather eventful evening for Benedict Bridgerton.

Bridgerton Season 4 Part One X reviews: The good, bad, and mid

Bridgerton Season 4 has been declared the best one yet, with some comparing it to the first season. However, with an eerily similar storyline to the ancient fairytale of Cinderella, fans couldn’t help but point it out on social media. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the Benedict-Sophie pairing, however, has received a unanimous verdict: “the tension, the yearning, the banters, the chemistry, everything is so so so good,” wrote a user.

With the entry of some new characters, the Penwood family is truly drawing some flak. Bridgerton Season 4 also seems to offer a closer look beyond the nobility, as it provides an inside scoop on what goes on behind all the glamour, gowns, and grandeur. Hinting at themes of feminism and queer representation, there is a close examination of the servants’ lives and perspectives.

“I found the first half of Bridgerton Season 4 to be surprisingly charming: Yerin Ha is phenomenal, and I kind of love the show’s clumsy attempt to acknowledge that the working class exists,” wrote a viewer on X.

Praising the Queen, a user wrote, “The Queen is literally just a girl. She got so excited hearing ‘dearest gentle reader’ IRL [in real life] for the first time. How can you not love Queen Charlotte?” Netizens claimed to have voluntarily disappeared and not to be contacted as they expressed their plans to binge-watch Bridgerton Season 4 Part One. “Bridgerton season 4 is unexpectedly lovely. I had hoped it would be cleaner & better than other seasons,” expressed a netizen, calling it ” incredibly romantic, warm-hearted, grounded and lush.” They added, “it sparkles with chemistry, wit, and warm family dynamics.”

Some early reviews from X also read, “Episode 2 of Bridgerton season 4 already got me in tears. Sophie Baek, you deserve the world.” Pointing out the fairytale-like beginning, a user wrote, “Not Bridgerton opening season 4 with a Cinderella arc like I wouldn’t immediately lean in. This is my weakness.”

When is Bridgerton Season 4 Part Two coming?

With a gap of nearly a month, Bridgerton Season 4 Part Two will release on February 26. There will be the remaining four episodes, from the fifth to the eighth, as it explores how the story of Benedict and Sophie ends. A short teaser, which plays after Episode 4 (An Offer from a Gentleman), Bridgerton Season 4 Part One, hints at what fans can expect from Bridgerton Season 4 Part Two, but things are likely going to get more complicated at the ton.
