Telugu superstar Nandamuri Balakrishna’s latest film, Akhanda 2: Thaandavam, has seen another dip in box office collections on its fifth day due to the weekday. Despite the slowdown, the film has now entered the top 10 highest-grossing Telugu films of 2025, crossing the Rs 70 crore mark in India.

Akhanda 2: Thaandavam Day 5 Box Office Collections

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Akhanda 2 earned Rs 4.35 crore net on its fifth day domestically. This is a drop of around 17.14 per cent compared to Day 4, when the film collected Rs 5.25 crore. Breaking down Monday’s earnings, the Telugu version contributed Rs 4.95 crore, Hindi Rs 0.07 crore, Kannada Rs 0.02 crore, Tamil Rs 0.20 crore, and Malayalam Rs 0.01 crore. With this, the film’s total domestic net collection stands at Rs 70.70 crore. The film has surpassed the lifetime earnings of Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi’s Thandel, which collected Rs 65.49 crore net.

Akhanda 2: Thaandavam Day Wise Box Office trend

Akhanda 2: Thaandavam had a mixed performance since its release on Friday. It opened with Rs 8 crore during paid previews and went on to earn Rs 22.5 crore on Day 1, driven mainly by the Telugu version. On Saturday, the film saw a drop to Rs 15.5 crore, followed by Rs 15.1 crore on Sunday.

The first Monday saw a sharp fall to Rs 5.25 crore, and early estimates for Day 5 show another decline. Despite this, crossing Rs 70 crore ensures its place as the ninth highest-grossing Telugu film of 2025.Akhanda 2: Thaandavam Occupancy and show details

On Day 5, Akhanda 2 recorded 20.70 per cent occupancy for the Telugu version. Morning shows started at 15.09 per cent occupancy, rising to 20.50 per cent in the afternoon. Evening and night shows performed better, reaching 23.45 per cent and 23.76 per cent, respectively.

Among the Tamil audience, the film recorded 14.23 per cent occupancy on Day 5. Chennai hosted the highest number of shows with 193, followed by Coimbatore (73) and Madurai (54).

Akhanda 2: Thaandavam is the sequel to Balakrishna’s 2021 hit Akhanda. The film also stars Amyuktha, Aadhi Pinishetty, and Harshaali Malhotra.
