Post his video claiming his patriotism above his films, the film producers today arrived to meet Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh concerning the release of their next, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.
Johar’s next has been in soup due to the casting of Pakistani actor Fawad Khan. After situation between India and Pakistan worsenes, many Indian parties and MNS have been demanding a ban on KJo’s film that also stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma.
Producers Mukesh Bhatt and Sidharth Roy Kapoor of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil along with Dharma Productions’s Apurva Mehta, Fox Star’s Vijay Singh will meet the HM.
Mukesh Bhatt addressed the media after the meeting and said ”I have come here with tremendous hope that Government of India will understand us and provide us full security.” He said that the HM has assured full support to them.
”Rajnath Singh ji assured us 100% support and that he will convey to CM to maintain law and order. Rajnath ji said he will speak to CM of every state and that ADHM will release without any violence or issue” Bhatt said.
He further added that it doesn’t matter to us that Pakistan has banned our content in their country, our content is released worldwide and we don’t need Pakistan for that.

However some reports claim that KJo will be missing the meeting rather it would be the other two Producers will. An official statement is awaited.
In a video released for all, Johar had said ”When I shot my film ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ in September to December the climate was completely different. The circumstances were completely different.” He promised not to ever cast any Pakistani artist in his future ventures.
”I respect the Indian army. I salute them for everything they do to protect us in our environment. I respect them with all my heart. I condemn any form of terrorism especially the terrorism that will affect my people in my country and me. We respect our country over and above anything else” Johar had said.
Yesterday, director Shyam Benegal also came out in support of Karan and his film and said that his patriotism is not to be doubted. He added that Karan chose the actors because of their talent and not because of the country they belong to hence it’s very wrong to make him suffer.
Whether his meeting with Rajnath today will bear any fruit or not is to be seen as the future of the film continues being cloudy.
