A study published in the Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease, Diet’s Role in Modifying Risk of Alzheimer’s Disease: History and Present Understanding, discovered that plant based diets have been proved to be a significant dietary supplement to minimize the risk of Alzaimers in anyone. 

Plant based diet including, Mediterranean diet and traditional cuisines in China, Japan, and India are essential as compared to Western diet which involves highly processed foods. This study identifies dementia risk factors such as increased consumption of saturated fats, meat, particularly red meat like hamburgers and barbeque, as well as processed meats like hot dogs and ultra processed foods high in sugar and refined grains.
