The Ministry of Education on Tuesday extended the registration deadline for Yuva Sangam phase 5 to October 25, 2024. The decision to extend the deadline has been made to accommodate all the aspirants who are interested in experiencing this unique opportunity. This extension allows more young people, including students and professionals, to apply for an opportunity to represent their state or union territory.
What is Yuva Sangam phase 5?
Yuva Sangam is a program initiated by the government. The program aims to connect young people from different states and UTs. Volunteers and students in the age group of 18-30 can register to participate in this program that was initially launched in 2023. Yuva Sangam is part of the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB) program and promotes strength in unity and pride in legacy.
The Yuva Sangam program aligns with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 in placing greater emphasis on experiential learning and understanding the rich cultural diversity of India. For this, the participants will experience other aspects of life in the host state/UT, such as natural beauty, development projects, landmarks with cultural significance, and interacting with youth in that particular region.
