Uttar Pradesh Schools: There are changes that are soon to be implemented in school schedules of Uttar Pradesh. The Uttar Pradesh state government will implement these changes. According to the new education policy, the government will be reducing study hours in schools.
According to the reports, schools will have 29 hours of teaching in total and classes will be 5 to 5.5 hours long from Monday to Friday. All second Saturdays of every month the classes will be conducted for 2 to 2.5 hours while the other two Saturdays will be a holiday.
The schools will have a maximum time limit for classes. As per the norms of the new education policy, the maximum time limit for classes on general subjects will be between 45 to 35 minutes. On the other hand, classes for major subjects will be conducted for a duration of 50 minutes.
The reports say that the government has ordered the Education Department to prepare new rules for studies in schools under the National Curriculum Framework of the New Education Policy.
According to the implementation of the new rules, the duration of classes on general subjects will be 35 minutes. On the other hand the duration of major subject classes which includes subjects like Math, Hindi, English, Science etc, will be 40 to 50 minutes.
The new education policy aims to ease student burdens by allowing 10 bag-free school days annually. During these days, students will experience teaching through an oral and experimental approach, as reported.
