The West Bengal Department of Higher Education has officially opened the WBCAP Undergraduate registration process from today, June 18, 2 PM through the centralised gateway wbcap.in. Students will be able to apply to various options of 460 state-run and aided colleges across 17 universities. With the help of this portal, students will be able to apply for multiple colleges through a single streamlined window.

How to apply for WBCAP 2025
Step 1: Students will have to visit the official website-wbchse.wb.gov.in.
Step 2: Click on the highlighted link that says ‘’Centralised Admission’’ and select the ‘’Register Now’’ button.
Step 3: Enter your details like important data and documents.
Step 4: Apply and download the confirmation slip.
The portal will also provide a one-time password (OTP) login system for simplifying the registration process. The OTP will be sent to the registered phone number.
WBCAP West Bengal UG Admission 2025 Schedule
The registration process for applying to WBCAP West Bengal UG Admission will close on July 1. The first merit list and seat allotment will be out on July 5, and the final confirmation list of the admission confirmation will be declared on July 12. Students will be allowed to choose a maximum of 25 programme choices across institutions.
A second upgrade round of seat allocation is slated to be up on July 17. The admission process will end by July 20. The physical verification will be conducted from July 24 to July 31. The classes for the new academic session are likely to commence from August 1.
This centralised admission process has been implemented from June 2024. The motive behind this initiative was to simplify the options and to provide a single gateway for the students to take admission in universities. Under this process, transparency in the students’ placements will also be maintained. Interested candidates are advised to complete their registration process within the deadline, check all the details thoroughly, and also keep the proof of the admission form submission.
