The University of Wollongong (UoW) has commenced applications for the Master of Computing (Data Analytics) and Graduate Certificate in Computing programmes, scheduled to begin in July this year. Interested students can apply online via the university website. The Master of Computing (Data Analytics) programme is tailored to merge computing and data analytics proficiency, catering to a range of graduates while emphasising both technical skills and ethical considerations in the field, according to media reports.

The Graduate Certificate in Computing offers a postgraduate entry point to computing for students without prior IT knowledge, enabling graduates and professionals from non-IT backgrounds to enhance their current skill sets with a recognized qualification in computing. The admission requirements for programmes offered at the GIFT City campus (Gujarat) are identical to those for UOW’s Australian campuses, which include an undergraduate degree, relevant work experience, and English language proficiency assessment (IELTS – overall score 6.5).

Moreover, students enrolled at UOW India will have the opportunity to spend a semester at one of UOW’s international campuses offering the same degree. The University of Wollongong (UoW) is in the process of establishing a Women Leaders in Fintech Scholarship programme. This initiative aims to provide networking, mentoring, and sponsorship opportunities for women in the financial technology sector, as per the reports.

The Global Women’s Fintech Collaboration, including the scholarship programme, is spearheaded by senior female academics from across UOW’s global network, renowned for their efforts in empowering women, fostering diversity, and implementing innovative teaching and learning methodologies, it added.
