TNEA 2024 rank list: The Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE) Chennai on Wednesday (July 10) released the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) rank list for 2024. Applicants who appeared in the examinations can access the rank list on the official website — tneaonline.org.
DoTE Chennai also announced that the grievance redressal period will be available from July 11 to 20 for candidates to address any concerns regarding the rank list. To determine the TNEA rank list, candidates’ marks in specified subjects of the qualifying examination are scaled to a base of 200 (Mathematics – 100, Physics + Chemistry – 100).
Separate category-wise and overall rank lists will be published. Those appearing on the merit list will qualify for the counseling process.

TNEA rank list 2024: Counseling process
Candidates will be selected for counseling based on their rank. The counseling process will be conducted online in three rounds. During counseling, candidates will choose their preferred colleges and courses.
Final seat allotment will be based on their choices and confirmation. Selected candidates must report to the allotted institutes to pay admission fees.
The counseling for special reservation categories such as eminent sports persons, differently abled individuals, and wards of ex-servicemen will be conducted first in online mode.
Each counseling round will comprise four stages: choice filling, allotment, confirmation of allotment, and reporting to the college for fee payment based on confirmation.
