TNEA Counselling Registration 2024: The Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) 2024 registration will be closed today, June 6. Interested students are required to visit the official website to register for engineering programs. The official website for TNEA is tneaonline.org.

Every year the Directorate of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu, conducts the TNEA examination. Candidates must submit their documents for TNEA 2024 counseling by June 12. On the same day, TNEA counselling 2024 will be allocating random numbers to students for counselling. The TNEA 2024 rank list will be published on July 10, with grievance redressal occurring from July 11 to July 20.

TNEA 20024 eligibility criteria

As per the DTE, students are required to pass the eligibility criteria to register for the exam. To be eligible for TNEA 2024, candidates must have completed Class 12 or HSC from a recognised board. The required subjects are Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry. General category candidates need a minimum score of 45%, while reserved category candidates need 40%.

For Marine Engineering eligibility, candidates must have achieved at least 60% in PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) and a minimum of 50% in English in Class 12.

The reservation percentages for various categories are as follows: Open Competition has 31.00%, Backward Class has 26.50%, and Backward Class Muslim has 3.50%. The Most Backward Class and Denotified Communities are allocated 20.00%, while Scheduled Caste has 15.00%. Additionally, Scheduled Caste Arunthathiyars have 3.00% and Scheduled Tribes are allocated 1.00%.

TNEA application fees

General category candidates must pay Rs 500, while SC, ST, and SCA candidates from Tamil Nadu need to pay Rs 250. Additionally, candidates from the special reservation category are required to pay Rs 100 as the registration fee.
