The Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE), Tamil Nadu has released the rank list for Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) 2025.

The rank list, now available on the official website tneaonline.org, assigns ranks to candidates based on their scaled Class 12 marks. This year, a total of 2,39,299 candidates have secured ranks in the general list. Those who scored a perfect 200 have been ranked between 1 and 141.

The TNEA 2025 rank list includes a candidate’s overall rank, application number, name, date of birth, aggregate marks (out of 200), community, and community rank. These ranks have been calculated using normalised Class 12 scores, with Mathematics carrying the highest weightage, followed by Physics and Chemistry. Marks in Mathematics were scaled to 100, while Physics and Chemistry were combined to make up the remaining 100.

In cases where two or more candidates received the same score, the tie was resolved based on performance in individual subjects, followed by total percentage in Class 12, date of birth (giving preference to the elder candidate), and finally the TNEA-assigned random number, with higher values being favoured.
