Tetr College of Business has launched an innovative scholarship program aimed at content creators with over one million followers, recognising them as emerging entrepreneurs shaping the future of business. This full scholarship is designed to help creators transform their sizable online followings into sustainable, global ventures by providing access to structured business education, international exposure and world-class mentorship.

Tarun Gangwar, COO of Tetr College of Business, explains the rationale behind the scholarship: “We started by asking a simple question: who is business education really built for? Traditionally, it has been for students with strong test scores and linear academic paths. But many creators with over a million followers have already demonstrated key entrepreneurial skills such as audience building, brand development, and revenue generation in fast-moving digital markets.”

Gangwar emphasises that these creators are effectively running lean, digital-first businesses. “They have the speed, creativity, and resilience that traditional education often overlooks. Our scholarship aims to provide them with the strategic frameworks, global market insights, and long-term thinking necessary to scale their ventures,” he adds.

Turning online influence into long-term success

The program is specially designed to address the sustainability challenges many creators face once they reach a certain size. Gangwar notes, “The challenge isn’t just growth anymore – it’s turning that growth into a sustainable business.” Scholars will study across seven countries, including India, Singapore, the United States, UAE, Brazil, Italy, and Ghana, experiencing diverse markets firsthand.

This global immersion helps creators develop essential business skills such as product development, capital management, and operations, while also expanding their reach to new geographies. The program pairs academic rigor with mentorship from leading professionals affiliated with Harvard, MIT, INSEAD, Cornell, NASA, SoftBank, and Estée Lauder, providing scholars with both theoretical knowledge and practical experience.

Rigorous selection beyond follower counts

While having over one million verified followers is a prerequisite, Tetr takes a comprehensive approach to selecting scholarship recipients. “We look far beyond the numbers,” Gangwar explains. “We assess consistency, storytelling, audience engagement, content quality, originality, and niche influence. Applicants submit portfolios and entrepreneurial visions, followed by interviews to evaluate mindset and ambition.”

The goal is to identify candidates ready to leverage their digital popularity into strategic, long-term business enterprises.

Integrating creator economy trends in education

The institute claims that content creation is a core part of its curriculum, especially during the Europe semester, which focuses on monetising and scaling content. Students participate in specialized courses like the NAS Creator Fellowship, gaining direct mentorship from renowned creators to navigate the evolving digital landscape.

“At Tetr, students don’t just learn about business—they create content, build brands, and market their ventures simultaneously,” Gangwar says. “By graduation, they are not only skilled content creators but savvy entrepreneurs prepared to build sustainable businesses in the digital economy.”
