NEET UG 2024: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will administer the National Entrance cum Eligibility Test Undergraduate 2024 (NEET UG 2024) tomorrow, May 5. Alongside presenting their NEET UG hall ticket, candidates must adhere to a set of guidelines outlined by the NTA for the exam day.

Here is a comprehensive list detailing permitted and prohibited items within the exam hall. NEET UG aspirants are also required to observe a specific dress code.

NEET UG 2024 Dress Code

Candidates appearing for NEET UG 2024 are required to adhere to the following dress code:

– Heavy clothing and long sleeves are prohibited.

– Shoes are not allowed; however, slippers and sandals with low heels are permitted.

Candidates wearing articles or objects of faith—customary, cultural, or religious—are advised to report to the examination centre by 12:30 pm. This ensures adequate time for thorough frisking without inconveniencing the candidate while maintaining the integrity of the examination, said the NTA.

The exam conducting body also said that if, during screening, it is found that any candidate is carrying a suspected device within such an item of faith, the candidate may be prohibited from bringing it into the examination hall.

NEET UG 2024: Things not allowed

Candidates are prohibited from bringing the following items into the NEET exam hall:

– Instruments

– Geometry or pencil box

– Handbag or purse

– Any form of paper, stationery, or written material, whether printed or handwritten

– Food items, either packaged or loose. However, candidates with diabetes may bring specific items after prior notification, such as sugar tablets and fruits like bananas, apples, or oranges, along with transparent water bottles. Packed foods such as chocolates, candies, or sandwiches are not permitted.

– Water

– Mobile phones, earphones, microphones, pagers, calculators, docu pens, slide rules, log tables, cameras, tape recorders, electronic watches with calculator functions, any metallic items, or electronic gadgets or devices.

NEET UG 2024: Things to carry

Candidates are required to bring the following items to the NEET UG exam:

– NEET UG admit card with a passport-size photograph affixed on it.

– One passport-size photograph to be affixed on the attendance sheet.

– Valid original identity proof.

– PwBD certificate, if applicable.

– One postcard-sized (4”X6”) color photograph with a white background should be pasted on the proforma downloaded with the admit card and handed over to the invigilator at the exam center.

NEET UG hall tickets can be obtained from the NTA official website — exam.nta.nic.in. Medical aspirants must affix their latest postcard-sized color photograph on the NEET UG admit card before arriving at the exam center. The NEET 2024 UG admit card also includes an attached self-declaration form.
