Muthoot Finance Ltd has announced a scholarship programme worth Rs 1 crore for talented students of grades 8 and 9 across 788 districts in India for the financial year 2025-26. The initiative, part of the company’s ongoing corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts, aims to recognise and support academic excellence among secondary school students. 

In the current year, Muthoot Finance has awarded scholarships worth Rs 43 lakh, benefiting more than 1,400 students.  

“At Muthoot Finance, we firmly believe that quality education is not just a privilege but a fundamental necessity for a better life. Education remains a key pillar of our CSR initiatives and our pledge of Rs 1 crore for the upcoming year reflects our mission to uplift deserving students,” George Alexander, Managing Director, Muthoot Finance, said.

Since its inception in 2010, the Muthoot M George Excellence Awards claims to have supported over 10,000 students, with scholarships exceeding Rs 3 crore.
