The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has postponed the Karnataka Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) due to a scheduling conflict with the final semester exams of some universities. The PGCET 2024, originally set for July 13 and July 14, will be rescheduled, with new dates to be announced soon.
Final semester exams at a few universities are scheduled from July 5 to July 10, prompting many students to request the postponement of the PGCET 2024.
“Many students have submitted requests to KEA for postponement of the PGCET 2024 exam scheduled for July 13 and 14, 2024, as some universities are commencing final semester exams from July 5 and 10, 2024,” KEA stated while announcing the postponement.

To protect the interests of the students, KEA has decided to defer the PGCET 2024 exam and will publish the revised dates on the KEA website in due course.
Additionally, KEA will reopen the Karnataka PGCET 2024 registration window today. Candidates who have not yet applied can register online until July 7 (11:59 pm) at kea.kar.nic.in. The registration fee payment window will close on July 9 at 6 pm.
The registration fee is Rs 650 for General and Other Backward Classes (OBC) candidates. For Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates, the fee is Rs 500. Payment can be made using credit cards, debit cards, UPI, or net banking. Candidates are advised to regularly check the KEA website for updates on new exam dates and other important information.
