Manoj Sinha, lieutenant governor of Jammu and Kashmir has inaugurated the new campus of Asian School in Miran Sahib, Jammu, on Monday, emphasising its significant role in providing value-based quality education to students. Emphasising the need for a commitment to transforming the education sector, Sinha urged private educational institutions to take measures to ensure accessibility and affordability of education for all, particularly marginalised sections of society, according to an official statement.
During the inauguration, the lieutenant governor discussed educational reforms initiated under the guidance of the Prime Minister to position India as a knowledge economy. He highlighted the Prime Minister’s role in revitalising the education sector, which had stagnated for decades, thereby boosting societal morale and restoring the country’s confidence, the statement mentioned.
Sinha encouraged educators to promote hands-on, experiential and collaborative learning, fostering an environment conducive to holistic student development. He underscored the crucial role of education in empowering India’s youth to contribute effectively to the nation’s progress towards a developed India, as per the statement.
